is it better to please other then to do what first comes to mind? Is it better to do what you are supposed to do then do what you want or don't want to do? is it better to act on your first impulse then to think it through and consider the consequences of your actions for all parties involved? Suppressing anger and a touch of shame at the expense of anothers feelings? what happens to a person who tries to make others happy but sacrifices things because of a conscience that cowers at the thought of failure in other eyes.
Why is it that humans strive for perfection in themselves and in others even though we are told and we know in our hearts that it is not possible. No matter how hard we try perfection can only be a close call never a bulls eye. So why keep reaching for something when we should be looking at naked imperfections and excepting them as the new definition of perfect.
We are told we will never be good enough. we are told to be humble. We are told to help those less fortunate by means of pity and charity. Why? Why not be proud of what we are and what we have and feel accomplished in the things we do instead of feeling we have to give back because others don't have the courage to help themselves?
